Qualitative research papers are those with descriptive information rather than numerical data. Often there is no comparison made between groups, or the comparison is narrative.

Adding one or more of the following terms to your search strategy, (use a new box, you can join multiple terms together with OR between them) will help limit your results to qualitative works:

  • Case studies
  • Action research
  • Qualitative analysis
  • Qualitative methods
  • Qualitative studies

Some of the Library's electronic resources allow you to limit search results to research reports in the Advanced Search option. Here is one example from ERIC.
