Books Direct is a free book-requesting service for the National University community. Remote patrons may request that books be sent directly to their home, office, or local National University campus.  Patrons living in the San Diego area may request that books be held for them at the library for pick-up.

To use this service:

1) You must be a member of the National University community: faculty, student, or staff.

2) Please note that delivery is generally faster when sent to your local National University campus. To receive delivery at your home or office, you must be more than 40 miles from your primary learning center.

Patrons living in the San Diego area should visit the Library to check out books, which will be held at the help desk for pickup.  Be sure to indicate “National University Library at Spectrum Business Park” as your learning center.

3) Search the Library's online catalog to find what you need. Click on the item title to see an expanded record and look to see if the item is located in the "Circulating Stacks".

4) Then request books by submitting the online Books Direct Request Form.

5) Patrons may have a total of 15 books charged out at any one time, with a maximum of 5 books shipped per delivery.

This service is only available to patrons residing in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
