Books may be renewed a maximum of three times if no hold has been placed on the title by another patron. Renewal can be done two ways:
Self Renewal (this must be done no later than the day before the book is due):
- Go to the Library Catalog
- Click on “Sign In” in the upper right and enter your NU ID and password (birth date in mmddyy) format
- Click on " My Account" in the upper right
- Click on "Renew All" under the List of Active Loans to renew all borrowed items or select particular items and click on "Renew Selected".
By phone or e-mail
If your items are at or past the due date, or if you do not have access to a computer you can contact the library to have us renew your items for you. The Circulation Department can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or (858) 541-7900.
Please note if a hold has been placed on an item, it cannot be renewed. Also, if fines have begun to accrue, renewal will stop further charges but will not remove any charges that have already occurred.
