Books may be renewed a maximum of three times if no hold has been placed on them by another patron. Here's how to renew:

Renew Online

You can renew your loans by logging into your library account, which you can access here

Once you've logged in, you can click the Renew All button on the top of your loans list:

Or, you can click the Loans tab, and then the Renew Loan button next to individual books.

You won't be able to self-renew loans that are already overdue; call or email us if you need to renew an overdue loan (see below).

Renew by Phone or Email

You are welcome to contact the Library at or (858) 541-7900 for a renewal, or if you have any other questions related to circulation.

Please note...

If a hold has been placed on an item, it cannot be renewed. Our system will mark extremely overdue items as Missing; please contact the Library directly if this happens to you.
