How do I go about publishing my dissertation in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses?

Once you defend your dissertation and the Registrar's Office receives the necessary paperwork, the University Library will send you instructions on how to publish your dissertation in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses. These instructions detail how to set up a ProQuest ETD Administrator account and select your publishing and copyright options. Note that while National University encourages doctoral graduates to publish their dissertations, it is up to you to decide if you would like to file for copyright or have a copy of it bound.

Upon submission of your electronic copy of your dissertation, NU will send your approval page for signatures to your committee chair, subject matter expert and academic reader. Once the signed Approval Page is received, it is added to the student’s dissertation manuscript. Only after the signed approval page is received will the Library be able to upload the edited dissertation manuscript to ProQuest and send it for publishing

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the University Library.

If you have specific publishing and or copyright questions you may also contact the Author Relations Department at ProQuest by phone 800-521-0600 x77020. Choose option 2 and then option 1 to get to the dissertation teams. You may also contact them by email at disspub@proquest.com.
