How do I broaden my search results to get more articles?

There are several database search techniques that may be used to broaden your search results, including Boolean operators, nesting, truncation and wild cards, and removing search limiters (such as full-text, scholarly/peer reviewed, etc.).

We suggest starting out by watching the Library's quick tutorial video How to Find Resources in Navigator Search for tips on using NavigatorSearch, the central search box on the Library's homepage. NavigatorSearch searches most of our Library's database content and is typically the best starting point for your research.

You may read more about database search techniques within our Understanding Research Guide and Preparing to Search Guide
