I declined the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy statement when accessing a library resource, and now I can't access any content. What should I do?

When accessing a resource through OpenAthens for the first time, you may be presented with a Terms of Service or Privacy Policy statement within the database or publisher's site. Please confirm that you have read and agreed with the publisher's terms for access to database content. An example of a login consent page is pictured below.

If you decline a publisher's Terms of Service or Privacy Policy statement, you will have limited or no access to subscribed content. To correct this and accept the publisher's Terms of Service or Privacy Policy statement, you will need to clear your browser's cookies and cache and sign in again using your university credentials.

To clear your web browser's cookies and cache, simply hold down the ctrl+shift+delete keys and release. Select cookies, cache, and temporary internet files, if available, to clear. Please see the links below for instructions on how to clear your cookies and cache:

You might also try using a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge.

If this is unsuccessful and you continue to experience an issue with accessing database content from a specific publisher, please contact the library during live help hours.
