How do I use the "Field" option to improve my search results?

Tools like EBSCO, ProQuest, JSTOR, or Navigator Search allow you to search for a word in article titles, abstracts, or subject term lists, which increases the likelihood that your results will be relevant. Here's how to do this:

  1. In EBSCO, ProQuest, JSTOR, or Navigator Search, click on the Advanced Search link.

The word you're searching for should appear in the abstract, title, or subject terms list (whichever option you selected) of each article in your results list.
