How do I find an article using its DOI?

DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier. It's a standardized scheme for finding articles and other digital files. You can try searching for a DOI number in several of the Library's databases, including ProQuest or NavigatorSearch. The DOI number is usually listed in the article record, which is accessible by clicking on the article title. Here are some other tips and tools that may help:

CrossRef.org

Crossref.org has a free DOI lookup service. Find the search box on their homepage, and click on the Search Metadata tab; then enter the DOI.

CrossRef will give you the full citation information for the article, and (in most cases) a link to the article on the publisher's homepage.

Use Interlibrary Loan

If you weren't able to find the full text of the article using a library database or CrossRef, order it at no cost to you using our Interlibrary loan service
