I need the full text of the article, but all I see is Article Linker (or Find a Copy) below the title. What should I do?

The majority of the journals subscribed to by the National University Library are available in electronic format.  This means that articles you locate through our databases are often immediately available as PDF or HTML documents.

Articles that are immediately available are easily identified by one of the following access options:

  • Read Full Text from NU -  This option will take you to our EDS link resolver and will show you a list of database options to choose from to access the resource. This option will require you to do a bit more inquiry once in the database you selected.
  • Linked full text - This will take you directly to the resource linked in one of our databases.
  • PDF - Downloadable PDF
  • Online full text - This is the HTML option
  • Access Now - This option will take you directly to the resource typically an eBook.
  • View record at (database name) - This will take you directly to the resource linked in that database.

Resources not available in our collect will have an access option of "Request Full Text (ILL)."  This will allow you to submit a free Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request. Please visit our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) page to learn more.

Here is an example of how access options appear in search results in EBSCO databases and NavigatorSearch.

For more detailed information on searching our databases consult the Search the Databases section of our Understanding Research Library Guide.
