How do I transfer resources from a custom folder in my EBSCOhost Account to my updated account in NavigatorSearch?
Last Updated: Jun 26, 2025    Views: 9

On Tuesday, January 7, NavigatorSearch and the EBSCOhost databases will get a new and improved interface. Updates will also be made to your EBSCOhost account, including your folder. If you use your folder, the resources you have saved will automatically transfer to your upgraded account, except items in your custom folder.

If you have a custom folder(s) and want to make sure the items transfer to your upgraded account, take the following steps before Tuesday, January 7:

1. Log in to your EBSCOhost account by going to https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=sso&custid=natuniv&groupid=main&profile=classic

2. Select the Folder icon in the top right portion of the page.

3. From here, scroll down the page till you see My Custom folder in the left-hand portion of the screen. Select the folder you would like to access to expand it. Then select Articles.

4. Once you have accessed the articles in your custom folder, select the Select/deselect all box. Then select the Copy To button and choose My Folder.

You will need to repeat this process for all custom folders you have created.

Now you can view your items in the new NavigatorSearch interface.

1. Log in to your EBSCOhost account by selecting the advanced search option on NavigatorSearch box.

NavigatorSearch box with Advanced Search underlined in red.

2. Then select the Projects link under My Dashboard in the left portion of the screen.

3. Select the plus sign (+) in the right portion of the screen to create a new project

4. Enter information about the new project you are creating such as name and due date. Then select Create.

5. Once your new project is created select the Saved link under My Dashboard in the left portion of the screen.

6. Select the three dots in the right portion of the screen next to the items you would like to add to the project and select Add to Project.

7. Then choose the project that you would like to add the items to.
